Piedmont Medical Center EMS Earns Second Place at State Paramedic Competition

May 25, 2018

Rock Hill, SC - May 25, 2018 – Piedmont Medical Center EMS is celebrating a second place win at the 2018 SC Paramedic Competition. PMC EMS Paramedics Rodney Dutton and Dustin Roberts were one of five teams from across the state that participated in the March competition. Each team had roughly 15 minutes to respond to a complex medical scenario in front of hundreds of their peers.

“I liked seeing how I can do in situations compared to other people,” said Dustin Roberts. “Everyone has their own ways of doing things and I always enjoy learning from others. This also helped me prepare for calls that I could potentially run in real life.”

Rodney Dutton has been a paramedic for the last 30 years and said his primary goal was to just get out there and do his best!

“We are very proud of Dustin and Rodney for representing our team so well at this year’s competition,” said Eric Morrison, Director of PMC Emergency Medical Services. “They are dedicated to this community and true assets to PMC EMS.”
