Piedmont Medical Center Fort Mill Celebrates 1,000 Robotic Surgeries

Recently Piedmont Medical Center Fort Mill celebrated with surgeons and staff a huge milestone. The hospital, which has only been opened for a little over two years, celebrated 1,000 robotic surgeries with the da Vinci robotic System. This robotic system assists surgeons with many general surgeries including bariatric, GYN surgeries, colon surgeries and urology.

At the ceremony Piedmont Medical Center Market CEO, Terea Urquhart and PMC Fort Mill CEO, Chris Miller spoke about just how valuable their surgery team is saying this is a team effort and they are honored to help so many patients in our community. Robotic surgeries are known to be less invasive and have a quicker recovery time.
